The post-credit stinger has been a Marvel tradition that started a trend with big-ticket franchise movies where they’re almost expected in any feature nowadays. The latest entry for the MCU, The Marvels, will be hitting theaters in just a few days. Still, early screenings have fans rejoicing with the reveal of a longtime Marvel character making their introduction to the MCU proper.
Both credit scenes were leaked before the release, and while we’ve had an idea of the mid-credit stinger, the post-credit promises a bigger MCU on the horizon. Like, a whole universe-size promise.
Huge spoilers ahead for those that want to avoid the reveal.

Okay, here we go.
At the film’s end, Monica Rambeau uses her powers and seems to have sacrificed herself to save the universe, but ends up in another entirely. Monica then says she was excited to see her mom again, to which Maria replies “Who?”
We’ve known for a year that Hugh Jackman would reprise his role as Wolverine one last time for Deadpool 3, but is this the beginning of what is to come for Avengers: Secret Wars? With Disney having bought 20th Century Fox, now 20th Century Studios, in 2019 fans had anticipated that it would only be a matter of time before the likes of the X-Men and Fantastic Four would finally start popping up. Especially since Marvel President Kevin Feige hinted back in 2019 at San Diego Comic-Con about “mutants.”
This is Grammer’s third time playing the role having debuted with the much-maligned X-Men: The Last Stand in 2006 and again briefly in 2014’s X-Men: Days of Future Past.
